For this art experience I decided that I would redesign the architecture for “the wedge” on CSULB’s campus. This architectural design exemplifies poor planning in terms of convenience for pedestrians. However, this architecture is also unique and beautiful in its shape and composition. Therefore my solution to the problem is to extend the railing on the far side out a few feet so that the people walking to class have more room to pass without disturbing the artwork. I feel as though this small change in architecture would have a very positive effect in the flow of pedestrian traffic on campus.
